The overall strategy for the pharmacy-focused locations is simple: help increase access to pharmacy care by bringing a full-service pharmacy and trusted pharmacist support closer to the communities that need them. These sites make it easier for people to fill prescriptions, receive immunizations, ask medication questions and access other pharmacist-provided care.
Averaging about 3,000 square feet, each location pairs a full-service pharmacy with a customized selection of over-the-counter products. The result is a focused, convenient experience built around one-on-one support from a neighborhood pharmacy team.

Several communities, one purpose
Each community we serve is unique. Each pharmacy-focused location reflects a shared commitment to meet customers and patients where they are while responding to the distinct needs of the neighborhood it serves.
The first pharmacy-focused CVS Pharmacy location opened in Alabama in 2025, expanding access to pharmacy care in Birmingham's Central Park neighborhood. The location was selected following an in-depth assessment of community health needs and was designed to bring pharmacy services and pharmacist support closer to residents.

Opened as one of CVS Health's earliest pharmacy-focused locations, this Northwest Washington, D.C. location in the Petworth neighborhood, reflects the company's commitment to expanding access to pharmacy care in communities where patients can benefit from more convenient pharmacy care and support services.

Located in Roxbury's Nubian Square, this pharmacy-focused CVS Pharmacy helps address an important community need for pharmacy care, serving more than 79,000 residents who live within a mile of the store. In addition to prescriptions and vaccinations, pharmacists at the location provide trusted health information and support, helping connect residents with care closer to home.

Located along Grand River Avenue, these Detroit area pharmacy-focused CVS Pharmacy locations were designed to support the health needs of the surrounding community. In addition to convenient access to medications, expert pharmacist consultations, and preventive services closer to home, these locations offer daily essentials, walk-in immunizations, and seamless prescription management through the CVS app

CVS Health opened its first Houston-area pharmacy-focused location in the city’s Greater Hobby area, bringing convenient pharmacy services to more than 9,000 residents within a half-mile radius. Additional community-based locations will also offer extended evening and weekend hours. To help ensure patients can get the information they need, CVS Health staffs these locations with multilingual pharmacy teams who can answer questions in patients' preferred languages, supporting higher satisfaction and better health outcomes.
