Brian Newman

Brian Newman is executive vice president and chief financial officer, and is responsible for the strategic financial leadership of CVS Health®.  This includes communication of the company’s strategy and performance to investors, as well as managing the capital structure to maximize shareholder return. Brian leads all accounting, actuarial, financial planning, risk management, tax, corporate development, investment and treasury activities at CVS Health.

Prior to joining CVS Health, Brian served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of United Parcel Service, Inc., from 2019 to May 2024. Prior to joining UPS, he spent 26 years at PepsiCo, Inc., where he served in a variety of finance leadership roles spanning Europe, Asia and North and South America. He also served as executive vice president for PepsiCo’s Global Operations, responsible for global operations including supply chain, global procurement, global security, enterprise risk management and transformation, and as PepsiCo’s chief strategy officer.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree in foreign service from Georgetown University and a master’s degree in business administration from NYU Stern School of Business. Brian serves on the Board of Colgate-Palmolive, as well as the Board of Regents at his alma mater, Georgetown University.
