I didn't realize how much running defined me until I couldn't do it
Andrew Hudson, Phoenix, AZ
When an Achilles injury interrupted Andrew Hudson’s college year, recovery became more than healing for the competitive sprinter. Running track was central to his identity, so the road back became a lesson in resilience, reinvention and keeping pace with his future.
Andrew moved from the Midwest to Phoenix for college and later earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Today, he is building a career in the sports and entertainment industry. During recovery, CVS Pharmacy provided prescriptions and over-the-counter items, including kinesiology tape and pain medication, in one familiar place.
“CVS had everything I needed to help me recover and get back to doing the things I love,” Andrew said. “It made the process much easier.”
His trust in CVS began long before his injury. Growing up, Andrew and his siblings watched their father depend on CVS Pharmacy to manage his blood pressure prescriptions.
“Seeing that reliability through my dad created a deep sense of trust for me. He doesn’t recommend anything to us that he wouldn’t trust for himself,” Andrew said. “My own experience with CVS has reinforced that same sense of reliability.”
CVS has supported Andrew beyond his health needs. After experiencing mail theft at his apartment, he turned to CVS mail and package pickup services for a safer way to receive deliveries. He continues to rely on CVS for prescriptions, personal care products and retail essentials.
“CVS has been there during different stages of my life,” he said. “It is a place I know I can count on.”
As Andrew looks ahead, he carries with him the same consistency that helped him return to the track—keeping his goals in sight and moving steadily toward what comes next.
