Workforce Initiatives

Breaking barriers, creating opportunities for health care careers.

CVS Health® is committed to breaking down barriers and creating clear, community-rooted pathways to health care and retail careers. By joining forces with local workforce organizations and nonprofits that address social care gaps – such as food insecurity and housing – we connect individuals to job training, career coaching and support services. These programs empower people to pursue roles in high-demand positions like pharmacy technicians and retail supervisors, paving the way for healthier futures for themselves and their families.

We work alongside non-profits, educational institutions, and government agencies at the federal, state and local levels nationwide to break down barriers to employment and provide resources to support healthier futures.

WITCs make it easier for individuals to build skills and explore careers – right in their own neighborhoods. They bridge the gap between learning and career opportunities for in-demand health care positions, such as customer service, pharmacy technicians, and health care management. These CVS Health-operated, community-based hubs offer no-cost, immersive training, and access to local support

We have WITCs located in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Fort Worth, New York City, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C. and Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

WITCs offer workshops, simulations and coaching designed to prepare participants for high‑demand oles, such as customer service, pharmacy technicians and health care management.
