Aetna announces new navigation program for Commercial members to support the total health of individuals and families with autism, ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions

HARTFORD, CT, November 24, 2025 — Aetna®, a CVS Health® company (NYSE: CVS) today announced the launch of a comprehensive neurodiversity navigation program available to select Aetna Commercial customers for employer-sponsored member populations. The addition of a dedicated neurodiversity navigation program builds on Aetna’s leadership in mental well-being by increasing network access and comprehensive care, creating a better member experience.

Since 2000, the prevalence of autism has increased 384%1, highlighting the demand for comprehensive care navigation for employer-sponsored health plans.

Members and their families with neurodivergent conditions, such as those with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), autism, and others, will be able to receive targeted resources and services to address their health and workplace needs, regardless of condition type or formal diagnosis.

Designed to improve the employee experience, this innovative and cost-effective program supports members with neurodivergent conditions through health care ecosystem navigation, on-demand training, one-on-one professional coaching, and self-guided digital programs.

“We know that neurodivergent members and their children often struggle to find the unique support they need to navigate both the workplace and the health care ecosystem," said Miriam Ferreira, Vice President, Mental Well-Being at Aetna. "This program empowers employers to fill that gap with comprehensive and personalized resources that improve health outcomes and reduce stress for employees.”

With one-third of Aetna Commercial members identifying as neurodivergent, having a neurodivergent family member, or both, neurodiversity remains top of mind for many employees and families.2 Neurodivergent individuals are also more likely to experience psychological and medical co-occurring conditions such as anxiety, depression, gastrointestinal disorders or obesity, underscoring the need for integrated, personalized support, for both adults and children.3

Neurodivergent members also have access to specialized clinical care to meet their needs, including Cortica, a provider of whole-child autism care with medical, behavioral and family solutions that help solve for fragmentation in the member experience. CVS Health Ventures invested in Cortica in 2023.

Customers who enroll in this program will receive service beginning January 1, 2026.

The platform serves members across 150+ disclosed diagnoses.
