Forty-One Aetna Middle Market Customers Have Won Workplace Well-Being Awards

July 05, 2019 | Health Insurance

Forty-one Aetna Middle Market customers have been recognized in this year’s Workplace Well-being Award program.

The awards program, which started in 2017, is aimed at creating a healthier workplace for employees through innovative programs.

Aetna – a CVS Health company – expanded this year’s program to all Aetna commercial plan sponsors in the United States with 50 to 5,000 employees – including fully insured and self-funded employers with an Aetna medical plan. The application period was open from March 1 to April 30 and it was recommended that Middle Market customers have a well-being program in place for at least one year.

The award applications were then reviewed and scored by a peer-review committee. Forty-one of the applicants scored enough points to qualify for an award. This year there were four award levels – Changing the World (Regional), Making a Difference (Gold level), Above and Beyond (Silver level) and Inspiring Change (Bronze level).

Aetna’s Changing the World award recognized seven plan sponsors from four regions. They had the highest score for their employer size (small 50-500, mid-size 501-2,000, large 2,001-5,000). These winners will receive a trophy, a congratulations poster, an emblem, and a senior leadership announcement.

Aetna recognized three plan sponsors for our Making a Difference (Gold) award, 21 for Above and Beyond (Silver) and 17 for our Inspiring Change (Bronze) award. These winners will receive a certificate, a congratulations poster, an emblem, and a senior leadership announcement.

“Congratulations to all of our plan sponsors from across the country,” said Senior Wellness Account Consultant Stacia Lyman. “This recognition shows their hard work in helping promote a path to better health for their employees.”
