Our commitment to colleagues
Cultivating a working environment where all colleagues feel valued, empowered, safe and included.
Our front store and pharmacy colleagues make a difference in their communities every day — from the everyday moments that matter to providing potentially life-changing care.
Safety is our top priority
We know that to keep patients and consumers safe, our colleagues must also feel safe, supported and heard. We have a variety of tools for colleagues to provide their feedback at any time. Most importantly, we listen to and value the feedback of our colleagues who work with our patients and customers each and every day.
Continuous improvement
The pharmacy environment is complex and challenging, and it has been for some time. We’re focused on maintaining local access to care, including offering the products and services our patients and customers need.
We’re committed to making it as easy as possible for people to get the health care services — and products — they depend on, while fostering a place where colleagues want to stay and grow their careers.
Steps we're taking
We’ve introduced innovative tools to support workload and workflow in our pharmacies, enabling our teams to focus on patient care. We’re enhancing recruitment, strengthening colleague training, and responding to facility and/or specific store concerns with urgency.
Since 2021, we’ve invested roughly $1 billion in wage increases. We continuously review wages to ensure they are competitive in the local market.
We are investing in our colleagues’ well-being and growth through education, skill building and career development opportunities. Colleagues eligible for our Tuition Assistance Program can choose from a wide range of degree programs and certificates that support business needs and their personal development goals. In addition, industry-leading Tuition Advantage Program and PharmD TAP make Pharmacy degrees more affordable and attainable for technicians and interns who build their careers at CVS. Eligible pharmacy interns can receive up to $20,000 per year in PharmD tuition assistance during their final two years of school.
We also partner with leading pharmacy organizations and universities to provide scholarships, reduce financial barriers and strengthen the future pharmacy workforce.
Whether colleagues work full- or part-time, we offer a wide variety of benefits and well-being resources. Learn more about our holistic benefits.
