When I’m on the road, I need to know I can get care wherever I am

CVS Health simplifies work travel for Alejandra Frias, especially when unexpected health needs arise.​

Based in Miami, Alejandra bartends events nationwide, from music festivals to private weddings. She thrives on meeting people and helping attendees make lasting memories, but changing weather, long days and a busy schedule can complicate staying healthy.​

At one festival, heavy dust triggered severe allergy symptoms. Her Aetna health plan, part of CVS Health, connected her with a local doctor who prescribed allergy medication in time for her next event.​

“With CVS Health, it’s like having family in every city,” Alejandra said.

Alejandra’s relationship with CVS Health began in childhood. Her family filled prescriptions at the neighborhood CVS Pharmacy, and she remembers shopping with her mom and making late-night CVS runs with friends as a teenager.​

“These resources help me stay on top of my health,” she said.

Aetna has helped Alejandra navigate other health needs, from coordinating virtual mental health support to finding a local gynecologist who could see her quickly while she was traveling.​

“Every time I get on the phone, it feels like CVS Health is on my side,” Alejandra said.​

A CVS pharmacist also caught an allergy to a medication her doctor had prescribed before Alejandra could pick it up.​

“I felt safe and cared for, and that I could rely on CVS to look out for me in the future,” she said.​
