Hola y bienvenidos! Hello and happy Hispanic Heritage Month from CVS Health®!
This month, and every month, we’re proud to celebrate the rich diversity within Hispanic culture and are honored to work alongside and collaborate with so many members of this vibrant community.
The Latino community comprises nearly 19 percent of the population with more than 62 million community members across the United States. Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration and an important reminder of the many contributions Hispanic and Latinos people have made to our society. The community’s rich and extensive history is reflected in the diversity of its people-from Afro-Latino, Asian Latinos, Boricua, Indigenous, Chicano/a, Mexican American, Puerto Rican, and Hispanic, to the inclusive non-binary Latinx.
Latinos are also the fastest-growing segment of people in the nation, and CVS Health understands the importance of building trust by addressing the unique health care needs, lifestyle and cultural preferences of this community. We’re proud that 14 percent of our growing workforce and more than 8 percent of our leaders are Latino, and that our nearly 1,000 CVS Pharmacy y más and Navarro locations provide a more inclusive environment where Latino customers can access the brands they know and love, with bilingual colleagues and signage to provide a warm and welcoming experience.
Throughout the month, we’ll be celebrating Hispanic heritage under the theme of “Corazon y Mente” to celebrate the hearts and minds of our Hispanic colleagues, partners, suppliers, patients and customers. At CVS Health, we honor the Hispanic community and the ways they strengthen our country and our company, through a mission and culture that aims to empower people through continued inclusive actions that reaffirm our commitment to every diverse community we serve.
Corazon y Mente and our CVS Health Heart at Work Behaviors are the perfect examples of joining forces to bring our absolute best to the thousands of diverse communities we serve.
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
