When Chad lost his sight because of a rare genetic disease, he was determined not to let adversity and barriers hold him back. Today, as a member of the Aetna® Behavioral Health Clinical team, he’s found his place working with members who are striving to live healthy, happy lives.
“He gives me encouragement, he’s caring and compassionate,” says Heather Orlando who has overcome huge obstacles with Chad’s help. For National Disability Pride Month, we share Chad’s remarkable story of perseverance and his commitment to be a “merchant of hope” for Aetna members.
Thank you, Chad, for reminding us it’s not what you don’t have, it’s what you have and how you use it.
