      At CVS Health®, we are committed to operating our business responsibly and sustainably, including how we source the products we sell and the services we use.  Our supply chain plays an important role in advancing our Healthy 2030 impact strategy, and we work with suppliers to collaborate on practices that drive a positive impact.  

      This guidance outlines the responsible sourcing principles that reflect our company values and reinforce existing standards. Suppliers should reference the policies below for detailed expectations and requirements:

      Scope

      This guidance outlines the practices we expect across our supply chain. We work collaboratively with suppliers to strengthen these practices, mitigate risk and enhance positive impact.  

      This guidance is intended to support all suppliers of products and/or services to CVS Health.

      Our approach to responsible sourcing

      Our approach to responsible sourcing centers on key areas that guide how we work with suppliers: 

      Ethics and governance

      • We work with suppliers that act with integrity. 

      • All suppliers of CVS Health must comply with all laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate.  

      • We expect suppliers to use management approaches and internal processes that support continuous improvement and share progress with their CVS Health business partners where appropriate.  

      Environmental impact

      • We expect suppliers to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts of their operations, including waste, water, greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, and in how they source raw materials.

      Social impact

      • We expect suppliers to align their practices with internationally recognized human rights and labor standards, including those referenced in the CVS Health Code of Conduct, and Human Rights Policy. Our Supplier Ethical Standards establish the baseline for our expectations of supplier conduct.  

      This guidance is intended to support continuous improvement across our supply chain and reinforce CVS Health’s existing policies and standards. We regularly update this document to reflect evolving practices and our Healthy 2030 impact strategy.
