Aetna Opens Support Lines to the Public Following Mercy Hospital Shooting on Chicago’s South Side

HARTFORD, CT — In the wake of the senseless tragedy yesterday at Mercy Hospital, Aetna is offering emotional support services and resources through Aetna Resources for Living to assist any person in Chicago or elsewhere impacted by this act of violence.

Aetna Resources for Living Employee Assistance Program is available to anyone, regardless of whether a person is an Aetna member. RFL’s professionals have experience dealing with traumatic events and can be available to provide specific interventions as needed. Individuals are welcome to contact our counselors for help, support or referrals for further assistance.
